The Electoral Office has completed the final ballot count for 178, out of 228 divisions.

Returning officers continue to count the ballots for the 50 remaining electoral divisions.

So far, the Jamaica Labour Party has 83 divisions, while the People’s National Party has 90 divisions.

Two corporations that resulted in a tie in the preliminary count are being closely watched; Kingston and St Andrew, and Clarendon.

As it relates to the Kingston and St Andrew Municipal Corporation, so far, the EOJ has completed the count for 29 out of 40 divisions.

Of the 29, JLP has 13 while the PNP has 16.

Over in Clarendon, counting is done for 19 of 22 divisions.

The JLP has 11 while the PNP has 8 divisions.
