Man charged for murder of teen girl in Kingston

A 38 year old man has been charged with the murder of 14 year old Prize Johnson at Palm Grove, Spanish Town Road, in Kingston last Thursday.

He is Imanie Niah Lydner, of Crescent Road, Kingston 13.

Police reports are that at about 1:59 p.m. on February 6, Lynder entered Prize’s home and sexually and physically assaulted her.

A relative, who heard Prize screaming, intervened and was reportedly wounded by Lynder.

The teen girl was later found with wounds to her head and face.

She was taken to hospital where she died while undergoing treatment.  

Following investigations, police named Lynder as a suspect, last Friday.

Lawmen arrested him on Sunday with assistance from his relatives.

Lynder was charged with murder, housebreaking and wounding with intent today.

His court date is being finalised.
