Defending champions Excelsior high school have been drawn zone A’ of the upcoming season of the ISSA/High School Girls Football League.
The Xavier Gilbert coached institution which recently won the Tariana Clarke one day football tournament will tackle Ardenne, Edith Dalton James, Immaculate Conception, Merl Grove, along with St Andrew Technical and Bridgeport in their Zone.
Last season’s beaten finalist Garvey Maceo have been placed in zone D, alongside Lennon, Central High, Foga Road, Kemps Hill and Denbigh High.
In select zones, black River, Hampton, Lacovia and St Elizabeth will do battle in zone F’, while former winners St Jago will feature in Zone C’ against Old Harbour, Jose Marti , Greater Portmore , Eltham high, Dinthill and York Castle .
Zone B’ includes Denham Town which is back after two years, in addition to Tivoli High, Camperdown, Titchfield, Seafort and Yallahs high.
The league is tentatively set to kick off on February 14.
