A six-year-old boy from St. James drowned yesterday after reportedly being carried away by flood waters.

He has been identified as Jevanie Kidd of Catadupa district. Preliminary reports are that Jevanie was carried away by the water when he attempted to cross a flooded roadway.

 

Residents reportedly located his body at about 8:45 PM and summoned the police.

 

He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
