JEP also aims to upgrade the current STEM curriculum and teaching methods in high schools across the country.

Speaking at the signing ceremony with the World Bank this morning, Education Minister, Fayval Williams said the agreement signifies her Ministry’s commitment to improving Jamaica’s Mathematics and Science education outcomes, and the overall quality of education in the country.

Mrs Williams maintained that the loan agreement is not just a transaction but an investment in the nation’s young people.
