The driver of the Range Rover that crashed into a Honda fit killing a young school boy and injuring the boy’s mother, a police constable, is now in custody.

The incident occurred along the Sedburgh Main Road, in Manchester, at about 7:30 am, when the cop was taking her son to school.

Dead is 9-year-old Traevon Saunchez, a grade 6 student of the Christiana Leased Primary and Infant school.

Its reported that the driver of the range rover, overtook a line of traffic and his vehicle hit the Honda Fit, which was being driven in the opposite direction.

The Range Rover driver then fled the scene, and the Manchester police made an appeal for him to surrender.

It’s reported that the 31 year old driver turned himself over to the police yesterday evening, accompanied by his lawyer.
