Police have identified the man who died after a market truck ran off the road into a gully in Darliston, Westmoreland, this morning.

Dead is 65 year old Errol Pinkey, a vendor of Dillon district, in Big Wood, Westmoreland. 

7 other people, including a child, are being treated for injuries, at hospital,

Reports are that about 5:40 a.m. the truck was transporting vendors along the holly hill main road to the Savanna La Mar market, when it ran off the road.

Councillor for the Darliston division Jerome Bacchas said the eight people who were aboard the truck are from the Big Woods and Holly Hill communities.
