Efforts underway to locate Kingston Wharves employee who fell overboard vessel

Search and rescue efforts are underway to locate an employee of the Kingston Wharves Limited who fell overboard a vessel, last night (July 12).

In a statement this morning (July 13), Kingston Wharves Limited said at about 10:05 pm, the worker who was a stevedore fell while performing his duties aboard a vessel docked at berth 8.

It said rescue protocols were immediately activated and the Coast Guard and Marine Police along with private personnel engaged by the company were contacted to assist.

However, the worker was not located.

The company said search efforts continued this morning.
