Scores of Dental Surgeons who work in the island’s public health sector are staging a sick-out over compensation related issues.

 

President of the Union of Clerical Administrative and Supervisory Employees, UCASE, Vincent Morrison told Irie FM News that wage negotiations with the surgeons, and the Ministries of Finance and Health are not going well.

 

He said following a meeting with the Finance Ministry on April 5, there has been no further communication from the ministry.

 

Mr. Morrison said the industrial action will continue until the Finance Ministry addresses the matter.
