Two men died in separate motor vehicle crashes in St. Ann yesterday.

The deceased are 25-year-old Adriel Hewitt of Ascot Drive Old Harbour, St. Catherine and 48-year-old Cecil Lewis of Colgate Ocho Rios, St. Ann.

In the latest incident at around 7:30 PM lawmen report that Lewis was driving a motorcycle along the Breadnut Hill main road.

It’s reported that Lewis was negotiating a curve where a tree had been cut down on the left side of the road.

Lawmen say Lewis drove into the tree, and one of the tree branches pierced the left side of his chest.

He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

And in the other incident police say at about 12:30 PM Hewitt was aboard a motor truck which was travelling along the Mammee Bay main road when the driver lost control of the vehicle.

It’s reported that the truck struck a guard rail then crashed into the right rare section of an Isuzu motor truck before overturning.

Hewitt was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
