6 people killed in separate crashes between Sunday and yesterday

Six people died in separate motor vehicle crashes between Sunday and yesterday.

The deceased are 57-year-old Robert Smalling and 24-year-old Ravaldo Myers a salesman of Darliston Westmoreland.

The other 4 people have not been identified.

In the latest incident at around 9:45 PM last night police say a grey 2014 Toyota Probox mowed down a pedestrian along the Fairfield main road in St. Catherine.

It’s reported that the pedestrian walked into the path of the vehicle and was struck. He died at hospital.

Minutes earlier at around 9:00 PM a white Honda HRV motor car and a grey Toyota Axio motorcar crashed along the Boscobel main road in St. Mary.

Another pedestrian died in that incident.

And at around 7 PM Smalling was driving a white Mitsubishi Lancer motor car along the Church Pen main road in St. Catherine, when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a building.

He died at hospital.

And at around 12:18 PM along Fort Augusta drive in St. Catherine a 2011 white Isuzu elf motor truck mowed down a 75-year-old pedestrian.

In the meantime, at around 3:15 AM myers was driving his motorcycle with a pillion aboard along the Norman Manley Boulevard when he crashed into a motor car.

The injured persons were taken to hospital where Myers was pronounced dead and the pillion admitted in serious condition.

And on Sunday at around 11:45 AM along Petersfield main road in Westmoreland a red special edition motorcycle crashed with a motor truck.

A 19-year-old motorcyclist died in that crash.
