Caribbean Amateur Junior Golf Championship postponed due to threat of Hurricane Beryl

The 36th staging of the Caribbean Amateur Junior Golf Championship has been postponed due to the impending threat of Hurricane Beryl which is forecasted to make landfall in Jamaica on Wednesday…..the day the tournament was scheduled to start.  

The three-day event which was to feature 85 participants was slated to be held at the Caymanas Golf course in St Catherine, but organizers took the decision to postpone.  

The President of the Jamaica Golf Association, Jody Munn-Barrow explains.

In addition to Jamaica, the tournament was also expected to feature defending champions Puerto Rico, Barbados, Bahamas, Bermuda, Cayman Island, the Dominican Republic and Trinidad & Tobago. 

The proposed date is now August 5-9.
