Government contemplating the implementation of orders under the DRMA amid hurricane threat
As Hurricane Beryl moves closer to Jamaica, the government is contemplating the implementation of orders under the Disaster Risk Management Act (DRMA).
Prime Minister Andrew Holness made the disclosure during a press briefing at Jamaica House today.
He stated that the orders will also be important in guiding the security forces.
He noted however, that there is no curfew in place.
