Chase…..the man of the match smashed an unbeaten 67 runs off 38 balls, coloured by seven fours and 2 sixes, as the Caribbean side batting first piled on 207 for 7 from their allotted 20 overs.
Interim captain Brandon King was the next best with 36 and wicket keeper Andre Flercher supported with 29.
This against Lungi Ngidi. Nqaba Peter and Andile Phleukwayo who all grabbed two wickets apiece.
Set 208 runs to win South Africa started well at 113 for 3 but later faltered and was all out for 191 for 7 off their 20 overs.
Quinton de Cock whipped 41 runs off 17 balls and fellow opener Reeze Henderiks supported with 34 , while captain Rassie Van Der Dussen got 30.
Bowling for the windies Gudakesh Motie was the main destroyer with 3 for 22 and wicket each for Romario Shepherd and Roston Chase.
