Yet another effluent spill into the Rio Cobre in St. Catherine has impacted the livelihood of fishers and other residents of communities along the river course. 

President of lobby group, Friends of the Rio Cobre, Kestonard Gordon said residents reported observing effluent coming from a factory in Bog Walk.

Mr. Gordon said the National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA), was contacted and representatives went to the spill site, and collected samples for testing. 

He said a meeting will be held tomorrow with representatives of NEPA.
