Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) says it stands in solidarity with the Government of Guyana at this time when its sovereignty is being tested.
There is growing border tensions between Guyana and Venezuela.
This, as the Venezuelan Government claims that the oil-and-mineral rich Essequibo Region was unlawfully taken when Guyana’s border was established over a century ago.
CXC’s statement of support was made during its 59th Annual Meeting of the Council’s Board of Governors today.
