Members of the Elsa Leo Rhynie Hall, at the University of the West Indies Mona campus are reportedly finding it hard to cope with the sudden passing of their hall committee Public Relations Officer.

21 year old Kareem Medley, a CARIMAC student, was found dead in his dorm room on the hall yesterday.

Hall Chairman Ricardo Josephs described Medley as an energetic, engaging person.

He said grief counselling is being offered to hall mates and other students at Mona who interacted with Medley.

He said the hall committee has made contact with Medley’s family to offer support and that a candle light vigil will be held in his honour soon.
