A 40-year-old woman has been charged for allegedly stealing a baby from her mother, at the Victoria Jubilee Hospital in Kingston, on Monday.

Charged is Sushana Greenfield, a vendor of 12 Oxford Street in Kingston.

The charge was laid against Greenfield after she reportedly took baby Kimoya Robe who was 11 days old, from her mother at the hospital, on Monday morning and fled.

The accused and the baby were later found in Franklyn Town, East Kingston in the afternoon.

Greenfield was arrested, while Baby Kimoya was taken to the Bustamante Hospital for Children, where she is being observed.

So far Baby Kimoya is said to be in good condition.
