Former People’s National Party Member of Parliament Dwayne Vaz has pleaded guilty to breaches of the Integrity Commission Act.

The guilty plea was entered in the Kingston and St. Andrew Parish Court this morning.

Mr. Vaz’s bail was extended for him to return to court on June 6, for sentencing.

Mr. Vaz is the PNP’s caretaker for Westmoreland Central.

An Integrity Commission report was tabled in Parliament last week, detailing that Mr. Vaz filed his statutory declarations for 2019 late and was likely to be charged.

The Commission reported that Mr. Vaz filed his statutory declaration for 2019 on March 30, 2020.
