West Indies pacer Shamar Joseph moves into the top 50 of the ICC test rankings for bowlers
West Indies pacer Shamar Joseph has roared into the top 50 of the ICC Test rankings for bowlers…. following his exploits which led the Windies to an historic 8 run victory in the second test against world champions Australia at the Gabba in Brisbane.
Joseph, who produced a career-best and match defining 7 for 68 while bowling with an injured toe….jumped 42 spots to number 50 on the rankings…..sharing the spot with Sri Lankan quick Lahiru Kumara with 397 points.
Windies teammates Kemar Roach and Alzarri Joseph were also rewarded for their good showing in the Brisbane test.
Roach moved up two places to 17th to remain the highest ranked bowler from the region while Alzarri joseph climbed 4 places to 33rd.
India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin maintains his place at the top of the bowling rankings following his six wicket-haul against England
in the, meantime England batsman Ollie Pope reached a new career-high 684 rating points after climbing 20 places to 15th on the test batting rankings………following his impressive match winning 196 in the second innings of the 1st test versus India in Hyderabad.
Top spot is occupied by Kane Williamson of New Zealand while Kraigg Brathwaite remains the highest ranked west indies batsman despite falling one place to number 37.
