International Grammy-winning AfroBeats star Burna Boy is among the entertainment practitioners and fans celebrating the release of Dancehall deejay Tommy Lee Sparta who was freed on Thursday after serving less than three years in prison.

In an Instagram live, Burna Boy chanted Tommy Lee Sparta’s popular phrase, “Guzu”, before declaring, “Free Tommy Lee Sparta.”

On Thursday (March 23), Tommy Lee Sparta was released from the Horizon Remand Centre in Kingston nine months early for good behaviour.

Meanwhile, his management team has requested that everyone, music industry professionals, event promoters, and fans, allow Tommy Lee Sparta some quiet time.

In March 2021, he was sentenced to three years in prison after being convicted for illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.
