A 42-year-old man accused of having sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old girl in Portsmouth, St Catherine has been arrested and charged.

Ramon Bennett, otherwise called ‘Screw’ of Portsmouth was charged with rape, sexual intercourse with a person under sixteen years of age, sexual touching, abduction of a child under sixteen years of age and buggery.

Reports from the Portmore police are that between November 2021 and December 2022, Bennett was tasked with transporting the girl to a relative’s house.

However, Bennett reportedly parked his vehicle on the compound of a music studio where he allegedly fondled and had sexual intercourse with the complainant on several occasions.

A report was made to the police and an investigation launched.

Bennett was arrested and charged yesterday (June 1).

His court date is being finalized.
