Member of Parliament for East Portland Ann Marie Vaz says she will use her salary increase to assist vendors affected by this morning’s fire at the Musgrave Market.

 

At least two other buildings on west street in Port Antonio were also affected by the blaze.

 

In a statement this afternoon, Mrs. Vaz described the incident as a tragedy.

 

She has pledged to donate her first year of salary increase to the market vendors.

 

The MP said she will also be seeking support from the government and the private sector to get the vendors back on their feet.
