The body of a new born baby girl was found in the Rio Cobre, in St. Catherine this morning (September 15).
Reports are that about 10 a-m, residents saw what appeared to be a human infant, floating in the river, in the vicinity of Nugent Street, in Spanish Town and summoned the police.
The body was taken from the river.
The police are appealing to anyone with information, as to the parents of the baby to contact them.
