Accompong Chief, Richard Currie has welcomed Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness’ openness to  discuss further the sovereignty of the maroons. 

The Accompong maroons celebrated the treaty with the British that established the community, ensuring its freedom and autonomy yesterday .
