In six days, the entertainer, who has the Best Reggae Album will be announced at the 65th annual GRAMMY Awards.
Vying for the coveted title are Kabaka Pyramid for his album ‘The Kalling’, Koffee for ‘Gifted’, Protoje for his album ‘Third Time’s the Charm’, Sean Paul for ‘Scorcha’, and Shaggy for ‘Come Fly Wid Mi.’
Both Koffee and Protoje are nominated for a 2nd time. Koffee previously won in 2020 for her EP ‘Rapture’, making her the youngest person to win in the category.
Kabaka Pyramid is nominated for the 1st time, and this is Sean Paul’s tenth Grammy nomination; in 2004, he won the award for his album ‘Dutty Rock..’
While this marks Shaggy’s eighth nomination, having previously won the award twice for his albums ‘Boombastic’ in 1996, and ‘44/876’ with Sting in 2019.
Entertainer Blvk Hero who scored his first Grammy nomination is vying for the Best Global Music Performance for the song, ‘Neva Bow Down’ a collab with Ghanaian singer Rocky Dawuni.
The 2023 GRAMMYs, officially known as the 65th GRAMMY Awards, will air live on Sunday, February 5, in Los Angeles.
