Via his verified Instagram account today, sprint legend Usain Bolt shared a black-and-white picture of himself and his father, Wellesley Bolt, who passed away at a medical facility in the Corporate Area on March 31 after a period of illness.
Bolt, who kept his caption minimal, used a dove and praying hands emojis to express his grief.
In the comments, Vybz Kartel wrote, “There are no words bro,” followed by three red heart emojis and six praying hand emojis, closing with “love alone.”
Romain Virgo, Cham, and KipRich also joined many others in sending condolences and prayers for Bolt and his family.
Wellesley Bolt, a well-respected figure in his community, operated a grocery shop in Sherwood Content, Trelawny, for 15 years until 2017.
He was 68.
