Jamaica college, Kingston college on the boys side and GC Foster College in the college men section were Jamaican winners on a cold and rainy day at the 127th running of the Penn Relays a the Franklin Field stadium in Philadelphia earlier today. 

hydel meantime produced an impressive performance to lead four Jamaican schools into the girls 4×100 meters championship while Edwin Allen was the only Jamaican team to advance to the final of the 4×800 meters championship.

Jamaica college captured the championship of America 4×100 meters title for the third time in the school’s history and first since 2014.

The quartet of Daniel Beckford, Hector Benjamin, Jaiden Reid and Malique Smith band sped to victory in a time of 40.97 seconds in cold and rainy conditions.’

JC’s head coach Neil Harrison used the unfortunate situations including disqualification in the 4×800 meters and a mishap in the 4×400 as motivation.
