Approximately 600 swimmers to compete in two day Tornadoes Swimming Championship
Approximately 600 combined national and regional swimmers have registered to compete in the first leg of the two meet Amazing Concrete finishes/ Tornadoes Swimming Championship, set to splash off this weekend with the first leg at the National Aquatic Center in Kingston.
The event, now in its 26th staging, was officially launched yesterday, with the club receiving a cash injection of 2.35 million dollars from title sponsors’ Amazing Concrete finishes.
Head coach of Tornadoes swim club and national swimming coach Wendy Lee, says given the task, to host both meets, the sponsorship support is crucial to the survival of the sport.
The two-meet series starts this weekend Friday and Saturday, with the second leg set to run between June 9 and 11.
