A war of words has erupted between Netball Australia and Collingwood Magpies……..the team Jamaican netballers Shimona Nelson and Jodi-Ann Ward.

This following the shock decision by the Collingwood franchise to withdraw from the Suncorp Super Netball league.

The bombshell news comes despite the magpies having four games remaining in the ongoing campaign and means both Nelson and Ward will be in the hunt for a new team at the end of the season.

The Magpies, heading into round 11, are second from bottom on 8 points having lost 8 of 10 games to date.
