Power has been restored to scores of Jamaica Public Service (JPS), customers following an outage which affected several parishes, on Saturday evening.

Irie Fm news understands that customers in Kingston and St. Andrew, Portland, Clarendon, St. James, Westmoreland and St. Catherine were among those affected.

In a statement last evening, JPS said the outage was due to load shedding.
