The severed head of a man was found on Thursday morning, in a shopping bag at Whitney Turn, near Porus, in Manchester.

He has not yet been identified.

Reports are that at about 6:30 A.M., passers-by saw the severed head in a bag and alerted the police.

A fruit vendor told reporters that he was shocked that the head was left near his stall.
