Opposition leader Mark Golding has called for the government to give an account for the money it spent in the recent campaign for senator Kamina Johnson-Smith to be elected as Commonwealth General Secretary.

His comment comes on the heels of Mrs Johnson-Smith losing her bid in the election.

She challenged baroness Patricia Scotland, but lost in a 27 to 24 vote in Kigali Rwanda on Friday.

Speaking at a PNP Divisional Conference in Papine yesterday Mr Golding reiterated his opposition to Johnson-Smith’s candidature while describing it as waste of tax-payers’ money.
