Police monitor Priory main road, in St Ann following road block by residents

A section of the Priory Main road in St Ann was blocked by residents on Wednesday morning.

It’s reported that around 5 am residents blocked the road with burning debris, resulting in a traffic pile up in the area.

The police and the fire brigade were called to the scene.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Kevon Chambers told Irie Fm news that they received information yesterday, that residents had planned on continuing their protest against Member of Parliament Marsha Smith.

He said the road way has been cleared.
