Four men were shot and killed and one was wounded in Tawes Meadows, Spanish Town, St Catherine on Sunday.

Dead are 21-year-old Nicardo Moore, otherwise called Blacks, of Railway Lane, 21-year-old Kirk Barrett otherwise called Mikey, also of Railway Lane 34-year-old Desmond Bloomfield of Elerslie Pen and 28-year-old Horace Ledman of Oxford Road, all of Spanish Town, in the parish.

Reports are that about 7:43 pm, residents heard explosion, and made checks, where they found the five men suffering from gunshot wounds.

The men were taken to hospital where Moore, Barrett, Bloomfield and Ledman were pronounced dead.

The fifth person is receiving medical treatment.
