Police reports are that, about 3:50 p.m., the men were patrons at a bar when a motorcar drove up.

A gunman alighted from the vehicle and opened fire, hitting both men multiple times.

Lawmen were alerted, and upon their arrival, both men were seen lying in a pool of blood.

The men were taken to hospital, where Shaw was pronounced dead on arrival, while Edwards later succumbed while undergoing treatment.
