A 21-year-old man was fatally shot during an alleged confrontation with a police officer in May Pen, Clarendon, on Saturday.
He has been identified as Alex Williams, of Palmers Cross in the parish.
Police did not provide details on the incident, but said it was reported to the Inspectorate of Professional Standards Oversight Bureau (iPROB) and the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM).
Williams is the fourth person fatally shot by police since Friday.
INDECOM is probing three other fatal shooting incidents that occurred in St. Catherine between Friday and Saturday.
Two of the deceased in those incidents have been identified as 43-year-old Sheldon Walters otherwise called termite and 37-year-old Joseph Campbell.
The other man has not yet been identified.
