Jason Ivey, who was celebrating his 40th birthday was shot and killed, while another man was shot and wounded.

 

A senior citizen, identified as Nicely Johnson, reportedly collapsed during the incident. She later died at the Spanish Town Hospital.

 

Member of Parliament for South East St Catherine, Robert Miller said last evening’s shooting incident represents the first such incident in the community for a while.

 

Noting that the shooting happened in the presence of children, Mr Miller said they have been extremely traumatized.
