Barbadian born English pacer Jofra Archer has been confirmed for the entire season for the Mumbai Indians in the upcoming Indian Premier League.
The much needed impetus for the Mumbai Indians come as there is news that they face the prospect of missing the service of their spearhead bowler Jasprit Bumrah.
Officials of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and the IPL while confirming the status of archer says the franchisee and the ECB will manage his workload.
Archer was part of the England one day international squad against Bangladesh in Dhaka yesterday when he finished with two for 37 in 10 overs.
The England team is in Bangladesh for three one day internationals and three T/20 Internationals which run to March 14 and after that he could be traveling to India.
He is expected to be available for the five-time champions and lead their attack from their first game, against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 2.
