Over 25 persons have been taken into custody in St Ann , since a State of Emergency was declared for the parish last Tuesday.
Commanding officer for the St Ann police, Senior Superintendent Dwight Powell says the police have had tremendous results since the SOE- the first for the parish, was imposed.
He says a number of violence producers have been taken into custody.
Among those in custody are persons wanted for murders , shootings and other crimes.
Some of the 25 arrested have been processed and released.
The St Ann divisional commander expressed, the hope for the SOE to be extended, stating that criminals will have no hiding place in st ann.
He was speaking at a community meeting hosted by the St Ann Chamber of Commerce on Monday.
