One of three males listed by the police as persons of interest in relation to the shooting death of 17-year-old Devanese Nelson in Denham Town, Kingston on Sunday is in police custody.

 

Head of the Kingston Western Police, Senior Superintendent Michael Phipps says Tevin Cross, has turned himself in.

 

SSP Phipps adds that Cross is the uncle of Nelson’s partner, Eric Murdock, who has also been listed as a person of interest in Nelson’s death.

 

17-year-old Alejandro Murdock, otherwise called ‘Brandon’ of Kings Heights, Water Street, Kingston 14 is also being sought by the police in relation to the incident.

 

Reports are that at about 12: 30 AM, Nelson was at her partner’s home, when explosions were heard.

 

The police were summoned and Nelson was seen suffering from gunshot wounds.

 

She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
