Entertainment and Sports Minister Olivia Grange welcomed Argentine football superstar Lionel Messi to Jamaica last night, as he arrived at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston.
Messi, widely regarded as the best footballer in the world, was presented with a Bob Marley souvenir T-shirt by Minister Grange. The shirt featured an image of Bob Marley playing football.
Messi’s Inter Miami club squad is in Jamaica for the second leg of their Concacaf Champions Cup Round-of-16 tie with Jamaican club Cavalier FC. The match is scheduled for the National Stadium later tonight.
