Boys and Girls Athletics Champs to have early start this year

The 2012 ISSA Grace Kennedy Boys and Girls championships make an early start this year.

This with action scheduled to get underway on Tuesday at 6pm (Jamaica time) inside the National Stadium.

The preliminary round of the boys steeplechase will be contested with the action to be fully underway on Wednesday morning at 8:30am with the first event in the boys decathlon the 100 metres.

Competition coordinator at ISSA George Forbes says the decision to move the event came after reviewing complaints made by coaches about its closeness to the 1500 metres.

A total of 112 boys team and 104 girls teams are down to take part in Champs this  year including defending boys and girls champions Jamaica College and Holmwood  Technical.
