Police identify 3 killed in crash along Dunn’s River main road

Police have identified the three people who were killed in a crash along the Dunn’s River main road in St. Ann, last evening.

Dead are 41-year-old Robert Muir, 55-year-old Christopher White, and 42-year-old Kareen Browning all of Beacon Hill, in Thompson Pen, St. Catherine.

The crash which occurred at about 8:30 p-m involved a Range Rover, a Honda Fit motor car, a Nissan Lafesta motor car and a Nissan AD Wagon in which Muir, White and Browning were travelling.

Head of the St. Ann Police, Senior Superintendent Dwight Powell, said the vehicles were being driven along the road way, when the driver of the Range Rover lost control of the car which collided with the other three vehicles.

A 22-month-old baby who was a passenger in the range rover was taken to the St. Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital and later transferred to the University Hospital of the West Indies for treatment.

Meantime, SSP Powell said last night’s crash pushes the number of road fatalities recorded in St. Ann since January, to 15.
