Workers at UTECH stage sick-out in protest over salary and other issues
Approximately 600 workers at the University of Technology, UTECH, staged a sick-out today (February 6), in protest against issues affecting them.
In November last year, workers also protested about issues such as an outstanding salary review exercise.
President of the University of Technology Administrative Staff Association, UTASA, Janette Grayson, told Irie FM News that the association had asked the management to treat with the administrative staff review and other issues affecting workers.
She said meetings were scheduled; however, the matters have still not been addressed adequately.
Ms. Grayson noted that all campuses have been affected.
She said if the matters are not addressed the protest will continue.
