Jamaica Cricket Association president Wilford billy’ Heaven will contest the upcoming Cricket West Indies (CWI) presidential elections.

Heaven, who’s been serving on the CWI Finance Committee since 2019, was officially nominated local governing body….the JCA…..along with the Guyana Cricket Board ahead of the upcoming elections which will take place in Antigua, at the next annual general meeting on March 25 .

His challenger will be the current cricket west indies vice president DR. Kishore Shallow who was nominated by the cricket associations of the Windward and the Leeward islands. 

Meanwhile, the race for the post of vice president features a lone candidate in Azim Bazarath, the current Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Association president who was nominated independently .

Incumbent Rickey Skeritt who is near the end of his two terms has already confirmed that he will not be seeking re-election to lead West Indies Cricket.
