One woman is dead and 8 other persons are being treated at the hospital, following a mass shooting along Shortwood Road in Grants Pen, St. Andrew, last night.

The deceased who is 45 years old has not yet been named.

Head of the St. Andrew North police, Superintendent Sherika Service told IRIE FM News that at about 11 PM, the persons were among patrons at a bar, when a gunman opened fire at them.

She is urging persons with information on the incident to contact the police.
