Under 20 Reggae Boys off to Mexico   

The national under 20 men’s football team will leave on Thursday for a two-game friendly series in Mexico, as they continue preparations for the Concacaf Championship which takes place also in Mexico in late July.                    

The team, which is coached by Jerome Waite, will face Guatemala on June 8 before confronting regional powerhouse Mexico, two days later. 

They return on June 11.                

The 22 man squad features 11 local based players in Keyanni Jackson, Taywane Lynch, Kadean Young, Deonjay Brown, Brian Burkett, Lloyd Smith, Junior Grizzellie, Jabarie Howell, Rashaun Small, Nahshon Bolt, Nathaniel Howe.

The overseas based members are Alexander Bicknell, Nyle Waugh, Avery Grange, Ashton Gordon, Nicholas Simmonds, Fabian Reynolds, Joshua Grant, Makai Welch, Romain Blake and George Grant Junior with Nashordo Gibbs unattached.

In the meantime, a national under 15 squad led by head coach Andrew Peart, left the island today for Malmo, Sweden, where they will contest the Malmo Trophy which is an international youth football tournament for under 15 boys and girls.

It’s set to run from June 7 to 9.
