UK resident visiting for mother’s burial shot and killed
A man visiting Jamaica from the United Kingdom for the burial of his mother, was one of two people shot and killed in separate incidents across the country, between Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
Dead are 48-year-old Michael Brown, of Waterford, in England and Mike Town in Manchester and 41-year-old Miguel Nash otherwise called ‘Chappy’, a labourer of Boscobel View, in Oracabessa, St. Mary.
Brown was killed in the latest incident.
Police reports are that about 12:20 a-m, Brown was at his home in Mike Town, when a gunman entered and opened fire hitting him.
He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Over in St. Mary, Nash was killed about an hour earlier.
Police reports are that about 11:20 p.m., Nash was in his parked motor vehicle, in Stewart Town, St. Mary, when he was pounced upon by a gunman, who opened gunfire hitting him to the head.
He was pronounced dead at hospital.
