Three teenagers are among five people in custody, following the seizure of three firearms and a quantity of ammunition in Old Harbour, St. Catherine, this morning.

Head of the St. Catherine South Police, Senior Superintendent Christopher Phillips told Irie FM News, that the arrests were made and the weapons were seized after residents heard explosions  at about 3am, and alerted the lawmen who then set up a check-point.

He said the five people including a business-woman and the teens ages 15 and 17 were arrested.
